Mike King is a dynamic teacher and mentor whose non-traditional style creates a learning experience that is positive, encouraging and produces amazing results.
Mike has worked with an array of artists and singers in the music industry both professional and amateur from one to one vocal coaching, tour and performance preparation, artist development and as a vocal producer assisting singers during the recording process.

Mike facilitates and runs vocal workshops and masterclasses internationally working with community based projects, professional choirs and at music institutions in the UK, Europe, USA and Caribbean. His clients include West End performers and signed artists, most notably Lola Young - recently signed to Capital Records who he has mentored since she was 12 years old.

After years of practical experience and specialist knowledge in the area of vocal coaching, Mike has created unique methods of developing individuals' voices and their performance.
His one-to-one or group singing lessons will equip singers to the highest level focussing on a healthy, strong technique whilst developing their own style and sound.
Mike works with singers to prepare them for studio recordings, auditions and live performances and has the facility to produce and record singers to a professional standard for their projects.

Mike's Vocal Performance Workshops are designed for experienced singers who want to explore and develop their individual performance in a supportive environment focusing on:
Presentation and stage craft

Improvisation and melody variation
The three-week workshop culminates with a showcase at a London music venue where participants perform the two songs they have worked on and put into practice what they've learnt.
B A N D M A S T E R C L A S S
This masterclass offers vocalists the opportunity to work with some of the UK's top session musicians.
The day is split into two sessions helping singers get experience directing, communicating and performing with a band as well as learning how to transpose songs and create chord charts.
The group will learn to transpose and chart a jazz standard and then perform their arrangement with the band.
Morning session, 10am-12.30pm: Preparation

Communicating and interacting with the musicians
Counting in and setting the groove

Included in the price is lunch at the venue with a glass of wine or soft drink so the group can socialise and get to know each other and catch up.

Mike received high acclaim as a songwriter when his song "That's When I Miss You The Most" was selected as 'Pick of the Week' on BBC radio. He continues to write and produce music for his own projects, for other artists and for use in television and film.
Mike offers consultation sessions for songwriters needing advice, feedback and guidance in developing their ideas, structuring their thoughts and understanding songwriting techniques such as:
